What Our Milwaukee Neighbors Say
Plumbing Repair & Replacement in Whitefish Bay, WI
Plumbing repair and replacement in Whitefish Bay should account for the age of the home, the condition of visible piping, and the way the space is finished. A leak under a sink, a corroded shutoff valve, or a slow drain may not look dramatic at first, but small problems can damage cabinets, flooring, walls, or basement storage if ignored.
As a residential plumbing contractor, Knight Plumbing & Drain Cleaning helps with water line repair, burst pipe repair, gas leak detection, gas line repair and installation, repiping services, kitchen plumbing, clogged toilet repair, water filtration systems, water softeners, backwater valves, fixture repairs, and related plumbing needs. We explain whether a repair is enough or whether replacement would provide better long-term reliability.
Plumbing repair may be needed when you notice:
- Water stains under sinks, on ceilings, or near fixtures
- Low water pressure at certain faucets
- A toilet that clogs, runs, rocks, or leaks
- Dampness around laundry or basement plumbing
- Corroded shutoff valves or exposed piping
- A faucet, disposal, or sink that no longer works properly
- Sewer odors near lower-level plumbing
- A valve that will not close fully during a plumbing concern
A real-world example could involve a homeowner near the Marlborough Drive area who discovers moisture under a newly remodeled bathroom vanity. The fixture may look new, but the issue could be a drain connection, supply line, shutoff valve, or older pipe behind the wall. Repairing only the first visible drip may leave another weak point untouched. Our technicians review the surrounding area before recommending the next step.
Replacement is often the better choice when a part is corroded, unreliable, unsafe, or likely to fail again. An old emergency shutoff that no longer turns can make a future leak harder to control. A cracked drain fitting can damage cabinetry. A worn supply line can fail suddenly. Replacing the right component at the right time can prevent larger repairs later.
Our technicians arrive in uniform, send a text message with the technician’s photo when en route, and use shoe cover service when appropriate. We respect parking and driveways when possible and focus on Leave No Trace clean-up. In homes with finished spaces and carefully maintained interiors, those service details matter.
Water Heater Repair & Replacement Across Milwaukee County
Hot water problems affect showers, laundry, dishes, and daily comfort. When a tank starts making noise, leaking, producing rusty water, or running cold too quickly, professional attention can help determine whether repair, maintenance, or replacement is the better path. Knight Plumbing & Drain Cleaning provides hot water heater repair, water heater maintenance, hot water tank replacement, and installation guidance for electric water heater and gas water heater systems.
An electric water heater may have a failed heating element, thermostat issue, breaker concern, or wiring problem. A gas water heater may involve pilot trouble, burner performance, gas control issues, venting, or sediment buildup. The system type matters, so diagnosis should come before any major decision.
Water heater service may be needed for:
- No hot water at sinks, tubs, or showers
- Lukewarm water during normal use
- Hot water running out faster than expected
- Rumbling, popping, or crackling from the tank
- Moisture around fittings, valves, or the tank base
- Rust-colored water from hot taps
- Pilot or burner trouble on a gas water heater
- Breaker trips or heating failure on an electric water heater
- Water heater maintenance before performance declines
A homeowner near Cumberland Forest may notice that an older tank still heats, but a faint rusty stain has appeared near the base. If the moisture is from a valve or fitting, repair may be possible. If the tank itself is corroding, waiting can turn a small leak into a basement water problem.
As a Rheem Pro Partner, Knight Plumbing & Drain Cleaning can discuss dependable options when hot water tank replacement is the better decision. Sizing matters in Whitefish Bay homes because some properties have multiple bathrooms, larger tubs, or finished lower-level spaces. A tank that is too small can disappoint the household, while one that is too large may cost more than needed.
Some homeowners ask about tankless water heater installation or instant hot water options. Tankless equipment can be a good fit in certain homes, but gas capacity, venting, water quality, flow rate, and maintenance needs should be reviewed first. A point-of-use or instant hot water solution may also help for select fixtures that are far from the main water heater.
Financing through Wisetack may be available for qualifying projects. If water heater replacement is unexpected, clear pricing and financing options can help homeowners make a timely decision before the old unit fails completely.
Drain Cleaning Services in the Greater Milwaukee Region
Drain trouble can be caused by daily use or by a deeper pipe issue. Grease, food scraps, hair, soap, toothpaste, lint, wipes, scale, and roots can all slow or block a line. Knight Plumbing & Drain Cleaning works as a drain cleaning company for sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, laundry drains, basement floor drains, and main line symptoms.
Drain cleaning services should match the behavior of the problem. A kitchen sink that backs up after dishwasher use may have grease buildup. A shower that drains slowly may be holding hair and soap residue. A basement drain that gurgles after laundry may point to a branch line or main line restriction.
Professional drain cleaning may be needed when you notice:
- Water draining slowly from sinks, showers, or tubs
- A blocked drain that returns after plunging
- Gurgling sounds from toilets or lower-level drains
- Sewer odors near basement plumbing
- Water backing up during laundry use
- Several fixtures draining poorly at the same time
- A clogged drain affecting cooking, bathing, or cleaning
- Repeated clogged drain repair in the same line
A family near Bay Ridge may run the dishwasher after dinner and see water rise into the kitchen sink. The disposal still turns, so the blockage may be farther down the line where grease and food residue have built up. Professional drain cleaning can reach beyond the visible trap and help restore proper flow.
Whitefish Bay’s mature trees can also affect drain and sewer behavior. Roots may enter older sewer joints and catch paper, wipes, and debris. If a clog returns after rooter service, sewer video inspection may help show whether roots, offsets, cracks, or pipe deterioration are involved. Hydrojetting may be discussed for suitable lines with heavy buildup.
If drain issues are ignored, water can damage cabinets, floors, trim, drywall, stored belongings, and mechanical equipment. If wastewater backs up, cleanup becomes more serious. Calling early helps determine whether the issue is local or part of a larger drain and sewer concern.

Plumbing Service: Description: - We're seeing a small leak where we turn on and off the water access to our house.
there is some serious in-fighting between the tenant and the landlord and the drains, shower, and toilet seem fine other then a slightly slow drain. idk if we want to be involved so I will be writing an estimate for the toilet and having dan charge well for the drain cleaning
Existing customer. Toilets and other fixtures are plugging and water is coming out of laundry room floor drain. He is looking for you to scope/cleaning from laundry room to cleanout outside the house. Everything else has already been cleaned but they're still having issues with the laundry room floor drain.
New customer. Customer is looking for a new water heater. Customer will be there at 8 a.m. customer stated the water heater they have now has a turn valve and may have to have that replaced and an April air connected. Customer is aware of $99.00 service fee.
Upon arrival, I assessed the situation with the basement floor drain, which had experienced a minor backup and was draining sluggishly. The customer was informed about the $99 service fee. I began by thoroughly inspecting the drain to identify any blockages or issues. Using specialized tools, I carefully cleared the obstruction, ensuring that the drain was free of debris. After confirming the successful removal of the blockage, I tested the drain to ensure it was functioning properly. The customer was pleased with the resolution and thanked me for the efficient service.
