Handled a Complex Drain Issue Better Than Expected
Andy Roeder came out to my place in Wauwatosa and handled a pretty complex drain issue better than I expected. I had a blockage where my kitchen sink and tenant sink tie together in the basement. The line transitions from PVC into an old cast iron section, and that iron pipe was completely packed with hardened grease, basically like asphalt. Another well-known drain company had already been out and told me there was nothing they could do.
Andy took a different approach. He identified the problem section, cut out the worst part of the cast iron, and replaced it with PVC. He also added an access cleanout, which is a huge long-term upgrade and will make future maintenance simple.
The amount of buildup in that pipe was unreal, thick, tar-like grease that had to be manually broken out. This wasn’t a simple snake job. The work area was tight (right against a wall and staircase), but he handled it carefully and cleanly.
End result: everything is draining perfectly, the system is improved, and the price was very reasonable given the scope of work.
Highly recommend Andy, great problem solving, solid workmanship, and professional throughout.

However, I also want to mention Dan was the technician that snaked my clogged pipes and got my water flowing smoothly again prior to Andy finishing the extra job needed. I would recommend Isiah and Knight Plumbing
Isiah Zinda was the second plumber at my house in Washington Heights, Milwaukee, yesterday. The issue was likely more daunting than he was expecting from the reported clogged pipes as my home is over one hundred years old. Unfortunately, the antiquated concrete and metal three-basin laundry sink and connected plumbing was damaged beyond repair and all had to be replaced. This required demolition of the 300 lb basin with a sledgehammer and carrying out the debris in five-gallon buckets. He set up a new modern laundry basin and plumbing connections. The area was clean after he was finished. Working largely alone, Isiah was able to complete the work in a few hours and I didn't have to cancel plans or take additional time off work. I would recommend Isiah and Knight Plumbing – I'm already a repeat customer – though I hope not to call again anytime soon.
